David Cutter was a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and obtained over 40 years of accountancy experience.  David worked in both practice and industry before establishing David Cutter & Co in 1981. Since this time the business has grown into a well respected practice with a prime office location in Halesowen Town Centre.  David sadly passed away in December 2009.  The partners and team he helped put in place over many years will continue to drive the business forward in his name. 

Paul Cutter became a partner in 2003.  After completing a BA honours degree in Accounting & Finance, Paul  went on to gain his professional qualification with ICAEW whilst working at a ‘top ten’ practice in Birmingham City Centre.  He then spent time working as a Financial Analyst for an American company before making the move across to David Cutter & Co.

Kate Jones became a partner in 2009 having previously joined the firm as Senior Manager in 2006. Kate achieved her professional membership of ACCA whilst working at a mid-sized firm based in Wolverhampton and became a fellow of ACCA in 2007.  In December 2008 Kate also became a member of the ICAEW.

David Cutter & Co gained registered ACCA training practice status in 2005. Dave Hazlehurst and Laura Healey were taken on as university graduates to study towards their ACCA qualifications.  Dave and Laura both qualified in 2009.  In 2010 Dave studied and passed his CTA examinations and became a Chartered Tax Advisor whilst also being promoted to manager.

In early 2010 the partners setup Cutter & Co Limited which from 1 June 2010 will trade as David Cutter & Co, with the original partnership remaining in place to provide certain consultancy services.

In August 2010, Mike Toone was taken on as a university graduate and will also study towards his ACCA qualification over the coming years.
