November 2011

Paul attended the Stourbridge Vs Birmingham City senior cup match as a guest of JPM. It was a cracking match which unfortunately Stourbridge lost on penalties, probably as one eye was on their money spinning FA Cup replay with Plymouth Argyle later in the month.

October 2011

Paul, Kate and Dave attended the Butcher Woods annual Outing at Uttoxeter Races. Everyone had a great time with a couple of horses behaving themselves meaning a few winning tickets!

Kate attended the Vitalise women of the year lunch and awards, which celebrates womens achievements in the Midlands. Guest speaker was TV presenter Kirstie Allsop, who presented the businesswoman of the year award to Julie White, CEO of D-Drill in the West Midlands.

August 2011

Our trainee Mike passed his three ACCA exams which were sat in June, meaning he now only has another eight to go before he is qualified!

May 2011

Dave Hazlehurst attended the KJ Watkin golf day, and a solid effort from Dave and his team meant they finished in the prizes in 3rd place.

April 2011

On 3rd April 2011 Paul and Lucy Cutter celebrated the birth of their second child - George James Cutter. Paul's eldest Harriet who is now two can be seen below assuming baby sitting duties!

March 2011

Paul and Dave attended the annual Butcher Woods Sporting Lunch at the Hyatt hotel in Birmingham. The guest speaker was snooker legend Steve Davis, and 'the nugget' actually did live up to his tongue in cheek nickname of 'interesting' with a thoroughly entertaining speech.

September 2010

Paul, Kate, Laura, Dave, Mike and Sarah attended the Halesowen cricket club summer ball. Although there was no success within the team with regards to the irish bingo and raffle (both won by Pauls sister Rachel!), a lot of money was raised for the cricket club, and everyone had a great time!

Mike Toone and Dave Hazlehurst attended the Butcher Woods Golf Day. While it was all about the taking part for Mike and his team, it was all about the winning for Dave as he and his team were revealed as the winners. Dave’s victorious team was made up of himself, Andrew Hamilton from Allied Irish Bank Insolvency and Debt Recovery, David Edwards from Waldrons Solicitors, and Paul Stanford from Harben Barker Chartered Accountants.

August 2010

Mike Toone began work at David Cutter & Co. and will begin working towards his ACCA qualification.

July 2010

Dave Hazlehurst became a Chartered Tax Advisor by passing his CTA examinations with a 100% pass rate. He is now an associate of the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT).

May 2010

Dave Hazlehurst attended the KJ Watkin & Co. Golf Day. Dave and his team of Eddie Griffiths (KJ Watkin & Co., Insolvency Practitioners), Jon Whitbread (Harrison Clark, Solictors) and the pro Greg Rogula (Westwood Golf Club) won the Keith Watkin Memorial Trophy.

April 2010

Dave Hazlehurst attended the Wolverhampton Wanderers home match against Blackburn Rovers with the investment company FSC Investment Services Limited. It was a great day out (ensuring Wolves remain where they belong), in addition to the FA Cup being on show. As this was likely to be the last time the FA Cup was at the Molineux (until next May anyway), Dave took the opportunity to get his hands on the coveted trophy.

March 2010

Paul Cutter, Kate Jones and Dave Hazlehurst attended the Butcher Woods Sporting Lunch at the Hyatt Hotel in Birmingham. The guest speaker was England rugby star and strictly come dancing quarter finalist Austin Healey. After his thoroughly entertaining speech, Kate managed to battle her way through tables, chairs and the odd guest to catch him before he left.

December 2009

Unfortunately David Cutter passed away over the Christmas holiday. Although the practice has lost a very valuable member, we are determined to continue to drive the business forward in his memory.

September 2009

Dave Hazlehurst joined the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT) in order to hopefully become a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) in July 2010.

Dave Hazlehurst attended the Butcher Woods Golf Day and he and his team came second overall.

August 2009

Dave Hazlehurst passed his final exams with ACCA with a 100% exam success rate!

June 2009

For those men amongst you, unfortunately in June 2009 Laura was taken off the market as she married long term boyfriend Sam Healey in Wombourne followed by a reception at the Mill in Alverley.

Paul Cutter attended the Heathcote & Coleman Golf Day.

May 2009

Paul Cutter was nominated for the 2009 West Midlands Young Chartered Accountant of the Year. The awards dinner was held at the Botanical Gardens and was also attended by Kate Jones and Laura Davies.
